Has to be the first Pachy 2 summit, at SFMOMA - what, 2 years ago now? Have to dig through iPhoto to get the date of that one... You know, the one where I punked out with a full-blown caffeine migraine :-)
Just checked iPhoto - almost exactly 2 years ago. I've got photos from that meeting dated October 29, 2003 - including you, Rachel and Michelle representing CDL
November 1992 at my parents house, Bert brought you over and I distinctly remember you entering my bedroom. I knew you were coming over so I was playing the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack to try to seem different, cool,or whatever. I thought you were cute and a bit mysterious with your long blonde hair and your trenchcoat. Of course you're cuter now, 13 years later, though far less mysterious to me. :)
I remember that day, you were funny and hot and we danced in the aisles at 'Scent of a Woman'.
Mine was at your wedding to your lovely wife. I was wearing an ill-fitting "dressy" pantsuit and felt quite incongruous under all those beautiful trees. I was transfixed by the thought that my good friend was 1) getting married and 2)marrying a man with long blond hair, and I do recall wondering what your kids would look like. I'm pretty sure we exchanged a "hi, nice to meet you," but you were dragged away by your giddy swashbuckling groomsmen. Good times.
You know the same old one: me and you driving back from filming with Bryan & James (circa 1989?) and mooning over Rea and how if we had a girlfriend that hot, we'd treat her so good, man...I don't even think Rea was that hot in retrospect, but we were such sad, horny virgins. Anyway, that's when we realized that we would be friends. Good moment.
I believe it was Lian's Alter-Ego party. You, complete with gauntlets and gold spandex shorts. Me, lookin' like so much white trash. Amazing what our first impressions of each other must have been. Funny thing is, I have a T-shirt with a silk-screen printed picture of you from that night.
Faire? Drunk? Probably.
Lara: Actually, I think we met before that -- Julie brought me down to Santa Cruz to meet you. You had just gotten your Notary Public stamp, and showed it off to us :). You impressed me as being smart and funny -- pretty much the same feeling I have today.
Quinn: Whatever I thought then, I am impressed you had the courage to date my sister after seeing our genes in action. I am so happy to have you in my family. Next year, we'll dress as a Mexican wrestling team.
Trey: I remember Marty introducing us. You introduced me in turn to the keg share at Green Man. We had lots of good times. I miss you, let's hang out soon.
Ian: That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Thanks for being who you are.
