Empire Online's 50 greatest Indie Films

How many have you seen? I've personally seen 29 of the 50, which I think for not being a film guy, makes me pretty well watched.
That's rad. I've seen most of those. Great list.
So sad. Only 14. And yet, I feel as though I've had a full and satisfying life in spite of it. Maybe some kinds of "quality" are only required in small doses.
One must call into question the value and validity of such lists -- there are plenty of great indie films that never made this list, and just who is Empire Online, anyhow? Besides, movies are only a single slice of media -- books, plays, music... they all contribute to our artistic well-being. Besides, not everyone writes a novel in a month :).
I submit to you that we make our own Top 50 list, the list itself becoming the art and not the things contained within. Top 50 Hamburgers ("The best hamburger of all time was enjoyed by Shad Warrington at an English pub in 1924..."), Top 50 Boobs (individual, no pairs), or Top 50 Articles (the, an). Avant garde!
