What exactly is Apple Jacks trying to sell, anyhow?

Okay, so I don't watch commercials that often, but today I saw an Apple Jacks commercial on one of my kids' TV shows, and it turns out they have a new mascot, 'Cinna-mon', a Rastafarian chunk of spiced bark who runs around trying find... wait for it... the bowl.

Am I the only one who finds this incredibly ironic and hilarious?
